Salut Am si eu o problema pe care ar putea s-o explice cei care s-au mai jucat prin firmware la modemul asta (HG655b cu B025 instalat). Am modificat adresa de IP pe LAN din 192.168. Si am oprit serverul DHCP din motive de structura a retelei mele interne. Prima problema a fost ca nu transfera broadcastul DHCP din WLAN (WiFi) pe LAN (Ethernet). Deci nu leaga WLAN cu LAN in switch ci face routare intre ele. Am oprit WiFi si am luat un Access Point separat ca sa rezolv problema (am si echipamente mobile si fixe - wired). Acum descopar o alta belea.
Adresa pe care o notifica prin UPnP e local-link (169.254.100.156). Din cauza asta toate Control Point care incearca sa citeasca descriptorii XML se dau continuu peste cap pentru ca nu pot accesa adresa aia.
Si (probabil din aceeasi cauza) nu merge nici Telnet. Am loguri de eroare de zeci de MB. In fisierul de configurare am gasit o linie ce ar trebui sa configuraze adresa lui locala (LAN/WLAN). In interfata Web e doar adresa si masca.In mod normal, la adresa asta ar trebui sa raspunda toate serverele lui interne (HTTP, Telnet, UPnP, FTP.). Si totusi NU (arata ca un 'AutoIP' in loc de 'Static'). Deci daca n-are DHCPul lui activat nu stie sa se configureze?
Stie cineva ceva despre asta? @SpargatorulDeVise Multam pentru info despre faptul ca exista in Qatar acelasi modem HG655b, cu 3G activ. M-am mobilizat si am cautat firmul respectiv si l-am gasit! Tin sa precizez ca inainte de a-l instala, am vazut din pozele prezentate pe siturile din Qatar, ca versiunea hardware este aceeasi cu cea pe care o detin si eu de la Romtelefon, adica Ver.C.
Recomand calduros sa faceti un backup la configurari si sa verificati daca aveti versiunea hardware C inainte de a instala acest firm din Qatar. Firmwareul este versiunea V100R001C10B011, are active paginile de configurare SIP, insa eu nu am gasit pagina unde se seteaza WAN=LAN1 pentru a putea fi folosit la RDS PPPoe. Sunt doua arhive: una cu firmwareul si a doua cu poze cum s-ar configura ADSLul in Qatar, precum si conexiunea 3G. Interesant este faptul ca am gasit in alta parte un link unde arata ca modemul 3G ar functiona in cazul in care pica conexiunea ADSL! Asadar, sa nu o mai lungim, mai jos linkurile si astept rezultatele testelor.

Am instalat mai intai Firm original FW18 si apoi FW25 si abia apoi FWQatar, urmat de un Reset la valorile din fabrica sa apara conexiunile la Wan.
Sper ca Rodycor sa aibe timp sa compileze si acest firm sa-l putem folosi pe RDS. Aseara am avut timp de testari. In meniul Basic-Wan la conexiunea UMTS se trece APN: internet si Dial:.99#. Folosit un stick Huawey E173 cu cartela de la Orange. Tot acolo se bifeaza Lan3 si Lan4 si apoi Submit, iar daca nu te lasa stergi din conexiunile de mai sus ATR sau PMT. Bagat cablul de Lan de la PC la portul Lan3 si am OBTINUT internet via 3G cu modemul HG655b Ver.C (hardware).
Mai trebuie disablat si PIN pe cartel, meniul Advanced-Pin. Am incercat ieri si cu un modem ZTE MF110, cu cartela Digi, insa nu l-a vazaut, insa mi se pare correct ca un device Huawey sa functioneze cu Stickuri 3G tot de la Huawey! Cred ca asta e singura limitare.
Am bagat chiar si un cont Sip-Voip de la serverul meu asterisk si functioneaza perfect! Nu are treaba cu setarea Zero-CD! Poate fi activa sau inactiva. Edited by hotm, 15 May 2014 - 07:17.
Nu merge.Ramane blocat pe waiting changes to be applied.Si nu ma mai lasa sa accesez nici interfata web trebuie sa dau reset. Dupa ce instalezi OpenWRT Firmware in router-ul HG-655b, conecteaza cablul de retea de la computer pe portul LAN2 al router-ului, conecteaza-te din browser in gateway-ul routerului la adresa, seteaza parola initiala de root, apoi seteaza parola de acces webinterface, instaleaza (daca esti pe Windows) Apoi deschide WinScp si creeaza o conexiune noua. Alege SCP, user: root, parola pe care ai setat-o pentru root, ip: 192.168.1.1 si conecteaza-te in router.

Now for my special case, i received in the years 3 modems of this type from the same ISP, they just gave me a new one for free, and i needed to use the WIFI in the whole building, 3 level, but i cant get the signal from the top to the 2nd or to the ground level.
Then i got the idea to use the modems that are just laying around. After fiddling and browsing around, i discovered that if i flash the original firmware on them i will loose the warranty on them (?!!!). Then i decided to use a patchwork, keeping the warranty and having the job done too.

Log in the web interface of the HG658 (the one that is gonna be converted to repeater) and go to BASIC - LAN IP ADDRESS: change from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.200 then hit SUBMIT button. Do this when your PC or Laptop is only connected to this HG658 (that means no internet access, no connection to the 1st HG 658, the administration IP will otherwise overlap) 2. We gonna disable DHCP.

A similar router to the HG658c is the eircom F1000 (Zyxel VMG8324-B10A) as they share the same Broadcom chipset. Zyxel has been much more forthcoming with newer firmware for their model with the latest release only a few weeks ago.
